Welcome to Life is a Beach

Are you looking for something that isn't cluttered with Megahotels, thousands of tourists and is still a place where you can find peace?  I've built a home just off the beach, in the jungle, so as to provide a peaceful respite from all the hustle and bustle of "normal" life.  By being in the jungle nature provides a whole different view of life here.  Hummingbirds, parrots, yellow tails, and many other song birds live on the property providing a chorus of songs through out the day.  Whiteface and Howler Monkeys pass through the trees on a routine basis, but monkeys here are not the trouble makers that they are in many other locations.  These monkeys avoid human contact and will usually pass through faster if they know you are watching.

Just down the road from the house is the Caribbean and there are several great swimming "pools" surrounded by coral just off the beach line.  Snorkeling in them is like swimming in your own fish tank.  So many things to see and watch as they dart about.

This is an area of great beauty but also some danger.  The sea has riptides if you are not careful about where you swim. Nature also provides some minor predators that can be bothersome if you do not take precautions, such as scorpions and spiders.  I have yet to be bitten by either after 9 years of life here but I make sure I check my shoes, shake out my towel and do not randomly stick my hands in locations that are their natural habitat.   An Insect Extermination company maintains the house to keep it insect free.
